I’m running for Congress to correct the course of our country.
On his first day in office the current president killed the Keystone pipeline and halted oil and gas leasing. These and other actions changed our energy independence into energy dependence. They assured that we would see price shocks driven by foreign events.
These predicted price shocks are now hitting Americans. Coupled with rising food prices, too many Americans must now chose between filling the tank and feeding the family.
This administration’s responses have been laughably inadequate. Allowing E15 gas to be sold in the summer will worsen air pollution. Allowing a few highly taxed oil and gas leases will not add much to our supply.
I’m Peter Theron. We need an energy policy that puts Americans first.
